Once upon a time, there was a white daisy.......

Once upon a time, there was a white daisy
called Fleur who lived in a very big field full
of other daisies. All the plants had a very
important function in life, and that was to
perform photosynthesis .
Fleur was a very young plant, but she was also
very intelligent because from the moment
she was born she never stopped observing
the actions of a yellow daisy that lived beside
her.
One day, when she was just a little daisy, Fleur
asked the yellow flower: “Yellow daisy, what’s
photosynthesis? The other plants say that’s
what we do.” And the yellow daisy answered:
“Well, photosynthesis is when we plants
absorb the light from the sun and water
from the ground to feed ourselves and grow.
That way we also help the nature maintain its
balance.”
“But how do we help it maintain its balance?
What exactly do we do?” Fleur asked, for she
was very curious.
“Well, the plants on the ground are in charge
of taking in a gas called carbon dioxide from
the atmosphere and breathing out another gas
called oxygen. That’s how our stalks and trunks
and branches and leaves grow. In the sea, the
algae and seaweed does the same. And that’s
how humans have enough oxygen to breathe
and live.” And that was how Fleur understood
what photosynthesis was and what it was for.

The little cracked pot...

There was once a water bearer who had two
large pots, one hung on each end of a pole
which, he carried across his neck. One of the
pots had a crack in it, but the other pot was
perfect, and always delivered a full portion of
water at the end of the long walk from the
stream to the master’s house, while the
cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with
the bearer delivering only one and a half pots
full of water to his master’s house. Of course,
the perfect pot was proud of its
accomplishments, perfect to the end for which
it was made.
But the poor cracked pot was very ashamed of
its imperfection, and was miserable that it
could only do half of what it had been made to
do — or so it thought. The cracked pot, after
two years of what it perceived to be a bitter
failure, spoke to the water bearer one day by
the stream.
“I am very ashamed of myself, and I want to
apologize to you.”
“Why?” asked the water bearer. “What are you
ashamed of?”
“For the past two years, I have only been able
to deliver half of my real capacity, because
this crack in my side allows water to leak out
all the way back to the master’s house.
Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this
work, and you don’t get full value from your
efforts,” the cracked pot said.
The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked
pot, and compassionately said, “As we return
to the master’s house, I want you to notice the
beautiful flowers along the path.”
As they went up the hill, the old cracked pot
did notice the sun shining on the beautiful wild
flowers growing along his side of the path, and
this cheered it some. However, at the end of
the trail, it still felt bad because it had again
leaked out half its load, and so it apologized to
the water bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot, “Did you notice
that there were flowers only on your side of
the path, but not on the other pot’s side?
That’s because I have always known about your
flaw, and put it to good use. I planted flower
seeds on your side of the path (for the return
trip), and every day while we walk back from
the stream, you’ve watered them. For over two
years I have been able to pick these beautiful
flowers to decorate my master’s table. If you
weren’t the way you are, he wouldn’t have the
flowers for his house.”

Our challenge....

Our challenge isn’t so much to teach children
about the natural world, but to find ways to
nurture and sustain the instinctive connections
they already carry.”

“I believe that the great Creator . .

“I believe that the great Creator has put ores
and oil on this Earth to give us a breathing
spell ... as we exhaust them, we must be
prepared to fall back on our farms, which are
God’s true storehouse. We can learn to
synthesize materials for every human need
from things that grow.”

GETTING TO ZERO

This AIDS day (December 1, 2013) we are
discussing one of the most critical diseases of
human race. Till now there is no known
treatment for this disease which makes it
utmost important to know about the causes
and prevention of AIDS. Scientifically AIDS is
not a disease because there are no clear signs
of AIDS and hence it is a syndrome. AIDS
stands for Acquired immune deficiency
syndrome which is cause by HIV (Human
Immunodeficiency Virus), it is quite clear for
the name that it is acquired form someone else
and it attacks our immune system. The HIV
virus does not directly affects the human body
but it weakens our Immune system which
make our immune system more vulnerable to
infections and diseases.
World AIDS Day 2013 Theme – Getting to
Zero
The main difference between symptoms and
sign is that, the sign can be seen or
experienced by other people apart for the
patient but the symptoms can only be felt by
the infected person. Signs are rash, swelling
and change in skin colour and Symptoms are
headache, fatigue, or dizziness.
Transmission
There are three main causes of transmission of
AIDS i.e. sexual contact, exposure to infected
body
fluids or tissues, and from mother to child
during pregnancy, delivery, or breastfeeding
(known as vertical transmission).
However saliva, feces, sputum, sweat or tears
does not carry HIV virus so if exposed with
these of infected person transmission of AIDS
is not possible but these must not be
contaminated with blood.
Treatment
Till now there is no treatment of AIDS however
with certain measures an infected person can
live long.
Precautions
Precautions can be taken in form of having
safe sexual contact, HIV test of mother before
pregnancy as with sophisticated medical aids
child could be protected from getting infected.
Infected person must go to doctor for every
small disease or disorder.
Test
To detect weather a person is suffering form
HIV or AIDS is done combination of two tests
for HIV antibodies. Initially by ELISA method
and then by Western blot method which
determines the size of antigens. During initial
period infected people develop specific
antibodies, detection of aids during that period
is done by measuring HIV-RNA or p24 antigen
this initial period is known as window period
when no change is detected.
How to behave with a person suffering
from AIDS ?.
If you do know any person suffering form
AIDS/HIV then you must not behave differently
with him as he/she is just suffering form a
disease which anyone could suffer so our
behavior must be normal with that person.
Shaking Hands, Using the same toilet, sharing
cutlery, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation,
sneezing, dry kissing and hugging doesn’t
causes HIV virus to spread. Person suffering
form HIV needs a lot of social help and you
must try make his life happy.

Fly high..

Climb the mountains and get
their good tidings. Nature’s
peace will flow into you as
sunshine flows into trees. The
winds will blow their own
freshness into you and the
storms their energy, while cares
will drop off like autumn leaves.

magical sunset

As the day ends to rest The sunset does its best Setting on fire the lively waves Colouring orange the nature he saves its pure ancient glorious perfection. The great ocean will receive The burning sun who's going to leave. Slowly comes the night Devouring that magic light: we are still suspended in a great delight.
